National Honors Society

Kami was inducted into the National Honors Society last night! We are so proud of her. All that hard work and long hours are worth it. It sounds like the hard work is just beginning for her. Between the required volunteering, tutoring and weekly meetings, she'll be very busy this year!

So, Matt has a new toy.....a fancy remote control car. It reaches speeds of 60 miles per hour.....it is veeery easy to tip over (speaking from experience). I wonder what the next toy will be.....hmmmmm........

Halloween!

Already time for Halloween! Ashlynn made up her costume with a neighbor girl, as you can see below. Not sure what she called it. Kami went as the Twister board and her boyfriend Steven went as his own creation too...they did look cute. Kami and Steven walked Ashlynn and her friend around so I got to just sit and hand out candy. How many Lady Gaga jokes are there, anyway?

Volleyball!

Well....the tradition of Kile girls doing volleyball has been passed down to Ashlynn. She joined the Norwalk Volleyball League.....so proud of her!!

I feel like I should devote a whole posting to JUST THIS BED! Thanks to my hubby, who put this bed together with a lot of patience and late nights. It took EIGHT HOURS to assemble. I'd never seen anything like it. It had tons of pieces and the worst directions I've ever seen. It's an awesome bed though. It has a built in dresser and storage shelves on the side. The open gap on the side is actually for a desk to slide in and out, but Ashlynn decided to leave the desk out and put it under her window. Now she has her own "hiding" space under the bed, which she uses for her American Girl Doll.

Nascar Nationwide

This past weekend Matt and I took a break from moving and went to the US Cellular 250 Nascar Nationwide Series race at the Iowa Speedway in Newton. We had a great time!

Summer Day at Adventureland!

Yesterday Ashlynn and I braved the heat and went to Adventureland with good friends. All in all it was a great day, ending with pizza at Bordenaro's and a girls' sleepover at the Radisson Hotel.

New House!

Well, here it is....the new house.....we close July 30th......I am so excited!! There is soooooooooo much work to do between now and then. It just can't get here soon enough. Of course, in my mind, I already have every room decorated just perfect, organized and beautiful.

The girls and I went to see Justin Bieber and Sean Kingston last night at Wells Fargo.....they had a blast! It was a great show. (And, I might add.....I'm not as old as I thought, I was surprised by how many songs I knew :)
